Valerie Adams
Valerie Adams starred in many Common Wealth and Olympic Games Competing in shot put. She is 34 Valerie competed in five Common Wealth Games and three Olympic Games. So far her best throw is 21.24m and shes won three golds and 1 silver in Common Wealth Games. She grew up in Rotorua and was good at many sports. Her first coach ever was a new zealand Javelin competitor who coached her for over 11 years in 19998 to 2009.
She also has 17 other siblings!
In 2017 she was made a Dame in the new year honours list. One of her brothers Steven her youngest brother , plays in the NBA basketball competition. His team is the Oklahoma city thunder.
Valerie Adams is a strong Olympic champion who all New Zealand are very proud of.
